Sea Moss Gel is perfect for consumption and to apply as a mask for hair and face. It's a superfood that contains 92 of the 102 minerals our bodies need. I started using Sea Moss as a facial mask when I started experiencing some breakouts on my face. I have super sensitive skin, so I needed a natural solution for my acne. My sister in-law told me about the sea moss mask and I decided to try it. I have been using it for over a month and it has become part of my daily routine!
So, lets get started.
Ingredients:
1. 1 cup of Sea Moss ( can be bought on amazon or Caribbean supermarket.)
2. 3/4 cup of spring water.
Instructions:
It is important to thoroughly rinse your Sea moss in water. Make sure to clean all debris. Place your sea moss in a bowl and cover with water. Cover and let soak overnight in the fridge. In the Morning, your sea moss should have plumped and absorbed some water.
Place in a pot and with your spring water and bring to a boil. Lower to a simmer.
Let simmer for about 10 minutes. You should see it begin to thicken. You can add more water to stretch it.
Place in a blender and blend until smooth.
Jar it and let it cool.
I like to make a very thick gel, and portion it out to freeze. You can pop a cube out and place in some boiling water to make more when you run out.
Gel will last in the refrigerator for about 2-3 weeks. Portion some out and freeze for later!
You can also mix in some turmeric for a mask.
